What is Microneedling?

What to Expect

Before treatment a full consultation is completed to assess your skin and concerns. During the procedure, a handheld microneedling pen glides across the skin, creating precise microchannels. The skin may appear pink or slightly swollen for 24–48 hours, similar to mild sunburn, before revealing a refreshed, radiant glow.

After care & recovery

Following microneedling at Stephanie Mckay Aesthetics it is normal for the skin to look pink or red immediately afterwards. The intensity varies from person to person, ranging from a light pink flush to a deeper redness. Any redness is expected to resolve steadily over the following hours. In some cases, it may take 3 to 4 days for the skin to return to its usual colour. During this settling period, keeping your routine gentle and protecting the skin properly will support comfortable healing and help you achieve the best results from your course of treatments.
